I was on page 5 of Google and now page 14, however i did change my meta tags title. Is it a good idea to play around with the title, description and keywords until you get higher up the search engines? or should i stick with what i have and wait? Does it take time after you change any of these?

Yes it can take time to see a change, particularly if you have a low Page Rank. Try changing it back to what it was and see if you move up again. IIRC you can view Google current cache of your site which essentially should be what Google is currently ranking your site on.
