Adam,

Mailshots with special offers certainly work for us, you just have to judge the right time to send them out or you can be flooded with orders/work which has caught us out in the past. I guess just make sure you have enough stock and staff in to cope with the demand!.

It is a great way to boost income when you have a quite period.

I've just read an interesting article that suggests giving free delivery in an email gets a higher response than any other type of offer so that might be worth considering when you send one out - assuming that you charge delivery that is!!

we have a free delivery service, our delivery depends on what the customer wants, all our beds have free del and setup due to the size of the things, the chairs can either be delivered to door free, or setup for a charge. :)

so i guess a free delivery could be done on chairs at some point.
