View Full Version : Take a Look at the New Style Ever-so-Sexy!
Hi everyone,
Giles has completed his work on our site make-over and words fail me when trying to say how much I like our new look! Pop by and see for yourself what he has done. In the words of my son.... its a billion times better. Now if the conversion rate moves up by the same factor I shall be looking for new premises, new staff, new everything - except site which I have already!
A great big public thank you to Giles at *********** Creative.

Very nice, just goes to show what you can do with a nice simple design.
Well done giles.

Gill, wow....the new re-design looks fantastic! Very, very classy, another great job by Giles!
Images still look fantastic to me :D
Sorry it's the website design that has changed is it. Didn't notice ;)
Seriously though another fantastic job done there Giles.
Gill, let us know in a few weeks if you think the re-design has helped improve your conversion rates.
Brilliant Gill. Very clean (and sexy).
Just a quick question - how do you get the shadow effect on your pictures - have you simply added a shadow to the jpeg?
Regards
Pete
if they are made in PS its a drop shadow set at about 120 degrees.

Hi Pete,
The drop shadows were my summer project. I use GIMP (its free - I know I am a cheapskate) and drop shadow is an option in the decor menu. I did do it image by image so it took a while. Imagine my horror when Giles said it would be better if we got rid of the drop shadow/curved edges. I had accepted their loss but then there just was not time for Giles to do them because of the variable sizes of the manufacturer supplied images it was not possible to do all of the images in batch on Photoshop. It may be something that will be changed at a later date. Strangely having accepted I was going to lose the hard won drop shadows I felt quite disappointed that they were staying ... how contrary is that?

Thanks all - I got a lot of stick from my wife over this site...every time she popped into the office she'd say "Oh, you're not looking at those lingerie sites again are you!" I'm happy to report that I'm not a 'method designer' :)
Gill - don't forget to let me know if you kick BC's butt!
Gill,
mmmm..... "BC"..... would that be the same BC that have had almost £750k of VC funding to date, if so I really hope you do kick some :D

Thats the one! Mind you, during the last year and working through the recession I would not have wanted that level of VC funding... can you imagine the pressure :eek:
Cheers
