View Full Version : affiliates
can you give me a run down on the affiliates feature.
i know i can set % etc and first time or allways. I get it that I need to give them a link to my site - can this be to any page or can it be for a specific ( home) page? i want them to go to a themed page for their interest. Then look at the rest of the site.
how can the affiliate independantly track 'their' results? i have been asked this question today. Do they have a log in? is it safe as in does it keep them out of everywhere else?
cheers rich......:D
You can create affiliate links to any page, please have a thorough read of the Help pages in the Affiliate Monitor and the Affiliate Editor as they go into a fair amount of detail.
The ability for affiliates to sign in and view their conversions is coming soon!
Any sign of the Affiliates log in yet Rich?
Twood be a usefull thing for me to sell the affiliates idea to people. Affiliates is going to play a faily central role in the marketing plan for a while.
This feature is now available, the details of which may be read in your Latest Updates.

Rich, this is brilliant! Many thanks.
There are two small things though.
1) I can't see how to "log out" as an affiliate
2) The account information page text is lifting the text from the sales stats page rather than the account page according to the language manager.
Other than that, fantastic :D

The login is session-based, meaning the affiliate stays logged in until they close the browser window. When they return, they will be required to log in again.
Well spotted with the second point - fixed!

I think it's well spanky :-) this is going to be an excellent selling tool for me. Thanks very much Rich !
Hi,
I've set up my affiliate page - surprised how easy it was, i should have done it before now.
Question: in the affiliate account page of a test affiliate I have set up the drop down dates available are 'October' and '2007'. Why these dates and not 'february' and '2008. I can only think Oct 2007 is when the site was set up. Is this correct or am I missing something.
Also when are the stats updated. Overnight?
Thanks.
The stats are updated in real-time. When some statistics actually come in for the affiliate, the drop-downs should make more sense.
Oh God, you are all going too fast for me. Having made the decision to do this full time for a while once my proper work contract runs out - I dont' think I can take advantage of all the facilities available to me. Please do some training Rich - it can't just be me who would benefit.
