How can I give the option to buy postage insurance? in some cases this can double the price of posatage so I would like to make it optional. This will give the customer a choice but more importantly the cost breakdown becomes transparent.

i have prodded the help files and searched the forum! I ahve wandered lonely as a hula hoop through the shipping manager..... this is where Rich points at the big flashing button and says use this you idiot:eek:

In the nicest possible way of course :D

I think you might be smiling after taking a look at the Addition manager!

Correct! Create an Addition via the Addition Manager called Postage Insurance, make it selectable by the customer and assign it a cost. Then assign the Addition to all of the relevant products via the Product Editor.

I don't want to do it that way, sorry to be awkward

this choice needs to be part of the checkout phase.
i have created two orphan products that are selectable during the checkout phase.
However, the drop down menu title is 'ADD TO YOUR ORDER'. How can I edit this to say 'POST OPTIONS' or something similar?

i know I am being awkward but I am trying to get this in the right place to have the right look and all that jazz :D thankyou for your continued patience :)

this choice needs to be part of the checkout phase.

Please note, and addition does not have to be selectable from the product page - it can be made selectable from the shopping basket only.

However, you can change the text label you describe - along with all text labels used throughout the site - via Site -> Language Manager. Create a copy of the default language to make edits.

Patience Rich, patience.............
