Hello, just been looking into Bluepark's features on e-commerce and will like to ask if there is any option or way to sell both to general public and to resellers as well, we're about so set up a food and beverage site but would like to have separate prices for general public and our resellers, obviously the latter only showing to customers whith resellers accounts, is this possible ?

Thanks.

There are two ways to achieve this. The first, and probably the most "tidy", is to set up a reseller discount. You can apply different discount percentages to different categories and products, so it's really quite flexible. The reseller discount(s) can be applied to the relevant user accounts. Prices will appear altered on the site respectively.

The second way is to create a completely separate set of products, and place them in what is termed as a "private" category - one which can't be seen unless it is assigned to a user's account (much like the discount above). The downside to this method is that you have to have (and maintain) two sets of products, and there's no way of preventing the "public" categories from showing as well as any assigned "private" ones.

So ... the first solution is recommended. Hopefully that's clear!

I'm trying to set up a wholesale section and have looked at both the ways Rich has suggested above.

The first way ie. setting up a reseller discount seems like the best way ... however, if I do it this way, the user has the discount applied to the products that I can offer wholesale prices on. So they would access the retail site as normal (signed in to their user account) and see discounted prices on the relevant products, but regular prices for everything else? This isn't ideal as I'd rather have a private wholesale section where only the products they can buy at wholesale prices are shown. I can see what will happen and that is they'll all be phoning up, wanting to know why they can see all of the products on our website but can only buy certain ones at wholesale and I'll be spending my time explaining it to them

So, then I tried the other way. I set up a private wholesale category and then tried to assign the products that could be bought at wholesale prices. But, the problem with this is that I'm wanting to offer our metre square felt sheets. At the moment, these are shown as a variant on the regular website. So when I tried to assign them to the private wholesale category, it would only add the default size, which is a 10x10 inch square - there was no way I could add the metre squares as I couldn't actually find them. Would I need to change the default variant on my regular retail site to be the metre square ? My concern with that is that customers on the retail site might order the wrong size of felt and because they don't bother checking half of the time, I'll have returns all over the place ! The other problem I seem to have with this way of setting it up is that I can't change the actual prices of the products. Would I have to assign a discount to each individual wholesale user ?
