View Full Version : Variant Issues
Has anyone found out how to disable a variant where one doesn't exist or isn't stocked? I have found a work-around by setting the quantity to SPO and changing the language (now that I know what that does!) to "Sorry, the selected option does not exist" but this obviously causes a problem when something is genuinely a special order.
The "official" solution for this, at the moment, is to set the price to "0" (zero). As long as you're not allowing zero-price purchases (disabled by default) the variants in question will not be orderable.
Does setting the price to zero allow a message like the one I previously mentioned? Also, you still have to assign a SKU to that variant, which I was trying to avoid doing.
On an unrelated note, is there any copyright issues with pinching the side bar from one of your (very nice) new templates and leaving the rest as is?
There is no message left, no, but it's made very clear that it can't be ordered (i.e. the entire price / basket section disappears). Try it and see.
The stock templates are free to be modified by all Bluepark clients.
