Just looking in the site stats area, and looking at top refering domains,

at the top i have www.google.co.uk (http://www.google.co.uk) followed by googleads.g.doubleclick.net (http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/)

am i right in saying that google.co.uk is purely organic searching and not PPC?

Thanks,

Neil

Don't think thats right.

google is from the the google search, and adwords from the google site.

Double click is own by google, but i believe they use the google adwords to in their ad mix shown on publishers site.

Could be wrong tho.

Adam, I believe that these clicks from "googleads.g....." are coming from your content network advertising on Google Adwords.

but with the standard www.google.co.uk (http://www.google.co.uk), is that organic clicks or can it be PPC to?

Hi Adam

If you append your google adword landing page Urls with the google code (see in adwords help) it will show up in ordder manager/user etc when the clicks come from adwords, or just look it up in Google Analytics

unfortunately on the site in question our MD has an outside source doing the adwords so i cant look at it... which makes me pretty much blind to where things are coming from.

I want to see if what we pay is actually worth paying.

You should still be able to see in Analytics where the clicks come from, whether you are running the campaign or not, if you can't find them, it ain't worth it!

i dont have the access to the analytics or adwords, because the source that does it outside has all there campaigns on one login... and wont give us the login details

Have you asked them for a full breakdown of where sales are coming from with a ROI figure? Seeing as they won't give you login info, it's reasonable to ask them for data.

i have asked for data but its like getting blood out of a stone. and our MD isnt fussed, he just pays as he thinks the guy is doing an amaizing job...
