Product variants in product export

Thanks for the recent update of variant text now included in the order export.

Can the same be applied to the product export function? Currently when selecting the variant field to export the result is coded rather than text eg 'Colour:Red'. I ask as it would make creation of a detailed product feed for shopping search engines possible.

Currently Google Base will not show the variant field as a separate field. Hence I wish to append the variant description to the product title.

I've managed to export the variant fields as text and export all skus with variants as separate lines.

I want to append the product title field with the variant field created, eg

Product A:Blue, 9.95
Product A:Yellow, 9.95

The export function in Bluepark suggests this is possible by using the Advanced Options tab/Title suffix. :)

I add %option1 in the Title Suffix box but it does not seem to generate anything in the exported results. :confused:

No doubt I am the issue here but has anyone else managed this?....Richard?

You need to go to the Properties tab in Export Product Data and set Option 1 to FIRST FOUND. Make sure you also assign a column to that option.

You can then use %option1 in your product titles. I've tested it on the export template you set up, and it seems to work.
