The various discussions on her about meta data are all very interesting and enlightening, but the non-use by Google of meta-keywords throws up another problem for me.
Does anyone have any advice on how to handle words that can either be legitimately spelt in two different ways or how to target common mis-spellings. For example our American customers will search for color and our UK customers colour. Our range of orthopaedic supports might be orthapedic or orthopedic.
I've included mis-spellings in the keywords up to now, on the premise that it won't do any harm, but I also now think its probably not doing any good either. I want to use a correct and consistent spelling whenever the text is visible to the customer, so keywords is the obvious place.
Does anyonw have any advice on this?
