Hi all,

I've just had a mad idea. What about having a Bluepark site we could all add our products to? We can choose a domain name e.g. 'Blueparkshopping.com' (sponsored by Bluepark!?) and use a free template.

Pluses:
- We all know how the software works
- Most people (i'm guessing) have a product feed they could easily upload or if not they can easily download from existing site
- Over time it should grow and we can add links to/from our own site
- Dropship facility could be used if necessary

Minuses:
- Requires central admin for paying out cash taken and monitoring site, etc
- Cost of Bluepark (sponsored) + payment system to cover

Just an idea as yet but thinking long term the pluses would definitely outweigh the minuses.

Look forward to your replies!

Interesting idea. I wonder if the first minus point you mention may make it too difficult, though. Someone would have to have the responsibility for administering the finances, bank accounts etc, and take financial liability. We would also have to invest a significant level of trust in this person/organisation.

Ok, maybe a little hasty given the response. I don't actually think the admin would take much work but there would obviously be some financial risk.

You could set up dropshippers for each of the products being our websites, so we get e-mailed when an order goes thru for one of our products, then we simply only need to administer our orders/customers, and not worry about anyone elses unless they request. I think it's a good idea anyway Paul! :)

David, that sounds like a better plan. If I charged commission on sales of 5% net of tax and shipping costs with no other costs would you join? Anyone else? Still just an idea.

Think I'd certainly be interested.. It would be good to see a demo or something first really, to see how it goes (trial period etc)
