View Full Version : Emails showing as SPAM

I have undertaken a couple of email marketing campaigns and am concerned that they include the word SPAM once they reach the recipients outbox. Of course this means that people may not open them and just delete or, they may get deleted before the recipient even sees them. I recently attended an excellent course on online marketing and was advised that it may be better to use an outside service to send mass emails rather than Bluepark as I may be percieved as a sender of spam by Google and get blacklisted. So, Rich, can we do anything about this or has anyone else got round it or found a solution. Does our outgoing mail have to have a SPAM warning attached to it.

We certainly don't tag messages sent from Bluepark's server as spam! This means that the customer's email server or client application is tagging the email as spam when it arrives. This can be for any number of reasons, but, from Bluepark's point of view, everything is done to ensure that the email is technically formatted correctly.

Hi
I think that you have to be quite careful about the language used in a mailing, as spammy phrases or titles can trigger the recipients spam software to wrongly tag your mail.:(

I copy the email to myself and have received a response from a customer on a marketing email. Both say SPAM in title received. What titles to people give to their emails that they send out and has anyone else ever seen this. Obviously I want to keep using this system which is why I upgraded. Don't think my titles are the problem. Can someone include me in their mailing list and send me their newsletter so I can see what happens please. Need to be sending out regular emails but am worried about doing it now.

Hi Llynda,

Thought you would be a Crufts today?

You might want to remove your e-mail address from your post because it is likely to get picked up by people who trawl the internet looking for e-mail addresses to spam and you may find loads of spam e-mails arriving in your inbox.

Thanks Dave. If I knew how to do it - I would but I am such a novice at this. The email address is on my site anyway as my contact email and I get TONS of spam. Tried using Cloudmark but it still appeared and then disappeared before my eyes. Decided if I was going to see it anyway and get annoyed, I might has well delete it myself for free!

Was at Crufts yesterday watching the BIG Dogs. Spent today bathing the FIVE I own and am somewhat soggy round the ankles as I type.

Well I should I checked that out before I suggested it but being a man I didn't!

I think Rich must have set a time limit to remove the edit button. When you post a reply you will see three buttons being edit, quote and reply. However, it appears the edit disappears after a while.

Ask Rich to remove your e-mail address. On your site make sure you use a contact form and have a click here to e-mail us option which takes the user to the contact form.

Also delete your e-mail address from the site or show it as llynda at bigdogstuff dot co dot uk
