Just wondered what page rank different sites are...
Just to add to this - if you don't know what your PageRank is, download and install the Google Toolbar. PageRank is Google's measure of the importance of your site, influenced by the number of incoming links to your site.

Yeah sorry, shoulda said that myself - might explain the lack of votes! :)
How long does it typically to get a ranking? We have only been going for two months, and though I am working every day to increase our links, we have no PR yet.

I've had the domain name and been link building since 2004 - still only a PR2 :( So can't really answer your question as I know sites that have taken longer, and others that have rocketed within a year.
Hi,
Every site starts with a page rank of 1. There are those who say page rank has no relevancy now but I for one am still working with it. Page rank will increase if you have high quality links. From my own experience I can tell you that you need to have a listing on Yahoo Directory (paid) and DMOZ (free) but the latter takes a while. I started with a PR of 2 which I think I acquired by listing in directories that were relevant to my product and Yahoo. Then my DMOZ listing went live - took about 4 months and PR increased to 3. After that it is about finding high quality relevant links to increase the rank. Not the easiest task in the world, and I for one would be interested in reading comments from others on this as I am still working on it and would dearly love to move up to RP 4.
Cheers everyone.
