Selling in Europe

Hi,

I've had a look through the various threads on this subject but couldn't really find what I'm looking for so I apologise if iI've missed something and I'm hacking over old ground.

I've just opened up our checkout so we can deliver to Europe (only a few countries for now to see how it goes). Is there a way of removing all the countries that we do no ship to from the delivery estimator?

Also, has anyone got any tips about fraud prevention as we use Sagepay and I know that it uses postcodes for it's fraud checks but this won't apply to Europe and I don't fancy getting stung!

You select which countries you wish to ship to in the shipping editor, under shipping manager

You should be able to remove countries in the shipping manager for each level of shipping that you have set up. There may be a better way, but that is how I have done it.

With the fraud prevention, we just trust our instincts - if the order looks out of the ordinary, we refuse it.

Thanks guys, but I don't think I've explained myself very well.

When I've set up the shipping methods I've selected which countries I want orders to go to and the actual functionality is working great. It's just that in the basket, the delivery estimator still shows all the other countries that we don't ship too.

I'm being really dim here arn't I but I just want the drop down to contain those countries that we ship to to stop any confusion.

As far as I know, you can't amend that list. When a customer tries to use a country that you don't ship to they will get a message that says the shipping method is not valid for the country selected.

Go to Tax Rules in the Site menu and deselect the irrelevant countries, then Save.
