Hi

This is directed at others out there who have experience of, or currently use, WordPay. I'm after your views on the warning system that Worldpay use and how you cope with it.

We are really careful about fulfilling orders that might be suspect so investigate every order that Worldpay mark as caution or warning.

So far we have not had a full on fraud alert. My feeling is that the caution is very often wrong and down to a small error on the part of the customer, such as transposing the letters in the postcode. The "warning" gives me a problem. The only charge back we have ever had (are we lucky?) was an order marked warning which on examination seemed genuine and we had communication with the "customer" via email and phone. So we shipped. Only to have the customer state unauthorised use further down the line and we lost the stock and the money. Approx £200 - so not small.

Now we normally do not ship on an order marked warning. We email our customer and advise that there has been an alert from Worldpay and that we can only accept payment via bank transfer. We usually don't hear from them again. One or two complain and could therefore be genuine - but there is no way of being sure. Or is there? Let me have your views please.

Cheers
