I think that one of our computers may have been infected as ggogle . co.uk keeps popping up and setting itself as the home page.

I have done a full scan and it removed a trojan so I rebooted but it is still doing it.

Does anyone know what might be causing it and how to get rid of it?

Thanks.

Try installing some malware detection and see if that helps...a lot of antivirus don't actually scan for malware which can be just as bad as a virus

Download Malwarebytes from here. Choose the FREE version.

http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Once intsalled, click on the "Update" tab and "Check for updates" and install those.

Finally, on the "Scanner" tab perform a "Quick scan". This will take a while. Delete anything it finds. Then reboot your PC.

P.S. What was your home page before? Make sure your current anti virus/anti malware software (e.g. spybot) isnt preventing you from changing your home page. If not, run Malwarebytes. That usually gets rid of most things.

How's your problem? Did Malwarebytes sort it?

Fingers crossed it is sorted.

It wouldn't let me download anything last night so I did a restore to a few days ago and was then able to do a full sweep.

Luckily, we don't really keep anything on it - it was netbook that use as a back up.
