Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) regarding back office stock control systems?

We need to start looking at a system to book stock in / out, check against supplier purchase orders/invoices and be able to what is on backorder with our suppliers and estimated delivery dates.

The system should integrate into Sage Line 50 and so far we have looked at various systems including OrderWise and Barcode.co.uk. As the implementation of this is going to be reasonably expensive we do not want to make a mistake in the choice of the system we eventually go with.

Any advice gratefully received.

Regards, Andy.

Hi Andy

We haven't gone this far yet, but I have been looking at systems. Did you know that Sage 50 Accounts Professional 2008 incorporates stock control, amongst other things? It might make sense to upgrade to this, as it is presumably compatible with your existing system (Sage 50 Account 2008 is the new name for Sage Line 50). Course, I don't know what your budget is - it's not cheap.

Regards

Pete

Look at Quickbook. Look at the advanced versions, not the basic ones.
