Is there a chance Richard that you could consider a future update to include an auto e-mail (if ticked) to inform the customers that they have been refunded.

Often our customers re-order a different shade but wait until their credit is processed.

At the moment we do the e-mail manually, but would appreciate it if it could be automatic.

It's a possibility for a future update, I would be interested to hear the views of others though.

That would be something we would use. We also do it manually at the moment.

Thanks

Martin

This would be useful, and even more so if the refund option processed the refund through the financial provider as well (PayPal, Merchant account etc.).

We make refunds through our payment processor, Paypal, which provides a narrative that informs the payee of a refund having been made, so we probably wouldn't use a Bluepark version.
However I can see this could be useful for manual or cash refunds

Can see the benefits of this and if we did lots of refunds it would be a great enhancement. But for us refunds are thankfully very rare and therefore not something we currently require.

I agree an automatically refund e-mail would be a big help as I do it manually at the moment. I also like the idea of it automatically re-directing you to the payment method you are refunding through

Also the statistics don't take into account the refunds you make so they are misleading, could anything be done to correct this?

Hi Julie
I do believe the sales statistics do include the refunds as I have checked my Sage Accountancy figures against these on Blue Park and they are in line with each other.

As we have to exchange and refund lots of customers as mine is a personal business, I appreciate everyone's feedback to Richard.

Thanks

Good idea. I will need it (I have this function available and in use with the current supplier, which I am about to leave).

Yes - we'd find this useful too.

The statistics most certainly do account for refund values.

Does this mean there is a chance of this idea to be included in future updates?

You will be pleased to know that this is now fully integrated. There are two different kinds of email (although both are very similar). One is used when items have been marked as refunded, the other is used when the Refunded field has been updated.

Only a rise in the refunded amount will trigger an email, therefore tweaking it downwards will not.

As with all email text, the exact wording can be altered via the Language Manager in the Site menu.
