Catagories/Variants

This might be one for Richard.

Within variants is it/would it be possible to put them in a seperate category ??

The reason I ask is that we have a Clearance Items category where we put old/returned/no longer available stuff. Some of this stuff only applies to some of the variants of a particular product and apart from listing the clearance item seperatley in Clearance Items you have to lump the product including all the variants into the same catagory..........or have I missed something ?

I'm afraid this definitely isn't possible. Only products (including all associated variants) may be assigned to categories.

In that case, in variants you already have a choice of adding different SKU/Bar Code/Selling/List/Weight/Quantity can an additional catergory option be added at some stage ??..... or is that a lot of hassle ?

We would certainly use it with regard to clearance items but not sure of other Bluepark users ??

Sorry Martin, this is technically not possible. Products and their variants are indivisible, this is a foundation of the system.

you can of course copy the product and enter different variants in one product in one category and another. with the copy function it might not take as long as you think???
