If anyone is looking for a smartphone to keep on top of business matters when they are away from the office I would highly recommend the Apple Iphone.

We were away over easter and this was the first real opportunity to give it a good test drive and it did not disappoint.

Was able to receive & send e-mails. Surf the web and make postings on the bluepark forum and process website orders without any problems.

It will work with WiFi hotspots using the cloud network and obviously also any wireless network. We found a great pub in the lakes and were able to use their wireless network instead of the phone doing all the work.

Obviously not a replacement for a laptop & modem but a lot smaller and enables you to keep on top of everything during small breaks.

Well worth checking out:)

Hi Dave

I have the iPod Touch (no phone) and must agree that it is a superb gadget (the iPhone deserves the award it received for best gadget ever invented). The safari browser makes it very usable on a small screen. The only problem with the Touch is that I can't dial up, so have to rely on free wireless networks when away from home, and these are few and far between.

Regards

Pete

Yeah I thought my Blackberry was good but the iPhone just blows it out the water. Only downside was the price which was quite expensive @ £269. For £35 a month I get 600 minutes and unlimited data (which is cheaper than the Blackberry)

I am becoming an Apple fan and are looking forward to the Gadget Show on Channel 5 tonight as they are reviewing the new Apple MacBook Air :)
