View Full Version : Ex Ebayer - Can BluePark deliver me a good site?
Hi Everyone!:)
I was a seller on Ebay for around 8 years, but have now left - they charge way too much sales commission and paypal charges you as well..........
No longer on Ebay, so I really want a good looking modern web shop on the web, I do not have any html experince, so require a package that is easy to use, host and process payments, I also want a newsletter function and something like a customer discount option
I have been ripped off in the past by 2 companies who promised to deliver, they took my money and only sent me a dummy site, my mistake for paying the fees up front
What I want to know can BluePark deliver me a web store, that will get hits and orders, I don't want to end up with a web shop that doesn't get orders, I need the whole thing - webstore, hosting, payment processing.........etc
Can anyone from bluepark please help or any feedback from ebayers who have bluepark webshops, thanks
Bluepark is a brilliant - it does it all and if it doesn't you just tell Rich and he sorts it. Also, if you have a problem, you post something on here and some incredibly nice people just tell you how to mend it. You won't go wrong. Is an ebay shop really that bad - did you have lots of competition as I am thinking of setting one up too.
wow our site looks good!, i just want a online web store more professional than ebay and its yours, you don't have non paying bidders, or have to pay ebay sales fees.......etc
Can Rich do the whole site for me, i don't have any experince in html and it would take forever to get it finished
are you getting buyers to your site, how long has it been up?

Rich will not do all the work for you as they do not offer this service. The default templates that come as standard are good and you could run with these until you have time to explore all the features available.
your site can be ready for you to start loading products matter of minutes and it really does not take long to put it together even with limited HTML knowledge.
Bluepark is search engine friendly but as with any site you can't just sit back and expect sales. You will need a plan on how you market your site to let people and search engines know about it.
Mailshots, search engine submissions, google adwords, price comparison sites, magazine adverts and articles, links from other websites etc are all important in marketing your site.
I am sure if you decide to go for a bluepark site you will not be disappointed buy dont expect miracles from day one!
Hi
I can highly recommend Bluepark. I have no html knowledge but with bluepark you don't need it!
The software is extremely user friendly.
We launched in Feb 2007 and signed up to google Adwords and our business has gone from strength to strength.
When we decided to set up an online party company, I searched the web for an ecommerce provider I looked at five or six other providers but as soon as I came across bluepark, I knew that this was the one for us.
Bluepark has been an integral part of the success of our business, along with marketing and lots of hard work.

Hi Tal, I opened my ebay shop in 2006 and my Bluepark in December 2007. You're so right... Ebay fees are way too expensive not to mention the fact that Paypal charge you again for each transaction made through them (you would think it would be a little cheaper if you have a store with Ebay and Paypal being part of the same goup).
I'd been thinking of opening a more professional looking online shop for some time and decided to take the plunge last year. I planned on phasing out my Ebay shop, and like yourself I was also ripped of by a few companies who promised the earth (Lycos and 123reg are just two of them). I stumbled across Bluepark by accident and haven't looked back since. I have very basic html knowledge and find Bluepark is great as my site looks really professional in comparison to Ebay, just by using Blupark's templates.
Now my sales have superseded my Ebay sales and it's a hell of a lot cheaper for me to run. I'd like to eventually phase out my Ebay shop as it's a handful trying to juggle two shops, but although Ebay is more expensive to run, the sales are still coming in so this is better than nothing.
