View Full Version : Printing "Pre-order" on Invoice

If someone places an order which has a mix of items in stock and items that have been pre-ordered (or back-ordered) there is no indication on the invoice that some of the items are pre-order/back order.

Is it possible to have the invoice state that some items are pre-ordered, preferably with the Release Date as well? Otherwise it looks from the invoice like we should have shipped all the items.

Also, because we take payment manually, and only for items being shipped, it would be really useful to have the invoice only show the value of the shipped items, instead of the whole order value. At the moment, we have to create a manual invoice for any part-shipped orders, as we don't want it to show the total order value for a part-shipment.

Regards

To be honest, this is the reasoning behind having a full invoice (with its unique invoice number) and multiple despatch notes (which contain only the items that have been shipped). We can't split an invoice, particularly as each invoice would require its own unique identifier.

Also, although the items are not marked as preorders on the invoice, they are marked as such in the Order Processor (and the Order Manager - if the order is comprised only of preorders). The customer is made aware that they are preordering certain products at the point of purchase.

Am I missing a trick here - is there a separate printable Despatch Note, or are you referring to the email that goes to the customer when a product is marked as "Shipped" in the Order Manager?

Edit :
Boy, now I feel stupid - I've been using the Bluepark system for months, and have only just realised I can print a Despatch Note instead of the Invoice. I'm going to go soak my head for a while...

Reading this from Pete makes me think that a previous request from another Blueparker for Rich to do a one day course to run through what this system is actually capable of would be a great idea and I would certainly subscribe to it.
