View Full Version : Inserting google analytics tracking code
Does anyone know the best way / which template should I add the the google analytics script block to get it to appear just before </body> on each page? Thanks.
Andy
The Google Analytics code can also be placed in the <HEAD> section of the site, and this is what we recommend. Google states that the code can be placed in either the <HEAD> or the <BODY> here:

Go to the Template Manager, edit your default Template and have a look at the Head Section field in the Site tab. Paste the JavaScript you were given in there.
If you have been given any code to be used on the successful payment page, go to Site -> Configuration: Order and paste the code into the Conversion Code field. Note that you can insert variables such as %order and %total into the relevant places within the code - these variables will be substituted with the order number and the total value.

How do you manage conversion codes with multiple checkout types i.e. Paypal and google checkout?
The Google Analytics conversion code mentioned is non-processor-specific. Providing the customer returns to the Bluepark site to view the success page, the conversion code will be triggered.
