Stripping html code from export description?

Does anyone know how to get the product export to just export the plain text for the Short Description and Page Contents fields? At the moment, these exported fields have embedded html code, which is makes it difficult to use for other purposes.

I have just been looking at the same thing and it can be done - take a look at advanced options in export product data and its the first option on the list.
