Morning,

I have Royal Mail on PPI, and use APC for next day delivery. We are happy with this set up and APC are great but are finding more and more that we need a 2 or 3 day service to get the price down further, which APC are unable to offer us.

Who do you use for 2 or 3 days services and have you had any problems with them?

Have any of you tried the 'affiliate consolidators' such as parcel monkey etc? How is it with collections - reliable?

Are anybody using parcelforce? What are they like these days?

Thanks in advance.

Have you looked at RM tracked - that is the equivallent of second class recorded delivery but it is tracked all the way through their system apparently and hence costs more but less than GND/Courier.

Thanks, I'll take a look but the products are probably a bit too big or heavy for RM, We are filling the RM van at peak times anyway, so need to find an alternative really.

You dont say what you pay now but i use UPS through Interparcel, this is for my parcels over 6kg up to whatever, they have cheaper options, i pay £8.29 inc VAT, it says UPS is 2 day but 99% of mine get there next day

We tend to book via Interparcel too for courier parcels, and then choose between UPS, DHL, DPD or Fedex depending on just what the situation is. For larger parcels sometimes need to do two quotes to check between sending something as 1 large box or 2 (or 3) smaller ones, but this tends to be more for shipments to Europe. Have generally found UPS, DHL, DPD, and Fedex always good - and their drivers for our area have always been good on collections.

Tend to expect to have problems whenever anything involves Yodel or City Link (receiving or going out).
