Hi
I have another issue with paypal. When I look into the transaction of the paypal payment for an order from my site there are no details apart from a total. It doesn't show whats been purchased (as ebay & my old website did). Have I missed some code or is this a paypal issue again????

I think it's another Paypal issue maybe. I have the same problem which is a pain in the arse if a customer uses their friend/partners Paypal account for example to pay for the order as in these cases the name on the Bluepark order doesn't even match up with the name on the Paypal payment.

This is actually the way Bluepark handles the payment. Rather than sending an itemised list to PayPal, it just sends the Bluepark order number and the order total.

The transaction should have the Bluepark order number clearly marked for cross-referencing.

Would you change it so we send itemised list?

PayPal's Integration Guide states that it is reasonable to post a payment request either for a complete order or for a list of individual items. We find that it is more efficient to post requests for complete orders. The itemised route leads to PayPal needing to calculate totals, tax and shipping per item - this doubles up on the work already done by your Bluepark Shopping Basket and leaves a margin for error in the recalculation.

Since the Bluepark order and the PayPal payment can be cross-referenced, using the Bluepark order number, there should be no need for the itemised method.
