Brand attributes

Would it be possible to assign attributes to a brand and then be able to filter the results by those attributes.

eg on the demo site, selecting Pansonic brand would then allow you to filter via a dropdown menu on tvs, radio, dvd, etc. Selecting timberland would allow you to filter by boots, shoes, jackets, etc.

I'm not sure if attributes are the right way to go, a potential solution here would be to provide a secondary selection box with qualifying categories during a brand search. I'm keen to keep the "selectable options" to an absolute minimum, using the existing system architecture to provide a solution.

I'll look into this as a possible feature, along with an HTML content field to be displayed at the top of brand search results - making the results look more like a normal category.

Following on from my last post, the Shop by Brand functionality has been extended to provide a list of qualifying categories once a brand has been selected. Furthermore, there is now a Brand Content field in the Brand Editor - any HTML entered will appear at the top of the brand search results.
