i just googled 'bluepark ecommerce' and was interested to see demopark.co.uk returned postition 1 ahead of bluepark.co.uk in position 2. interesting as i presume demopark came after bluepark and perhaps some time after as mcafee has not tested the former yet but has the latter.

do both sites use bluepark ecommerce software as their cms? why do you think demopark is returned ahead especially when bluepark has 'bluepark' in its domain name?

if its only demopark running the bluepark software on the face of it this is a great result, isnt it?:)

You're right, "bluepark ecommerce" returns Demopark first - but I think this is to do with the proximity of the words. You'll notice that the words "bluepark ecommerce" are together in the title of Demopark:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=bluepark+ecommerce

Now do a search for "ecommerce bluepark":

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=ecommerce+bluepark

It's essentially the same search, but Google has interpreted it very differently and returned a subpage of Bluepark.co.uk - with "ecommerce bluepark" together in the title.

I think this just goes to show how influential the title tag is in SEO strategy.

I can confirm that both Bluepark.co.uk and Demopark.co.uk use the Bluepark CMS - what's good enough for our clients is good enough for us! ;)
