I am editing the despatch note to suit my needs. I can see how this is done but wondered what variables were available to use within the template. The variables which i wish to add are in order to comply with CN22 Customs label requirements. I intend to print the despatch note onto paper with an integrated label for the combined address/customs label. The label is then peeled off and attached to the parcel.

As well as the variables currently in the despatch note, I wish to add a description of the goods, item value and country of origin. Whilst all of these can be handwritten it would be a neat solution to automate the completion of these fields before printing the despatch notes.

As each of these variables are determined at the product level i wondered whether an attribute could be created for each and the attribute then called in the despatch note template, eg %attribute1, %attribute2.

So my questions are, can a specific product attribute be called in the despatch note and if so, can these attributes NOT be displayed on the front end? Can the price of an ordered item be called in the despatch note? I note the full order details are currently called in the default template using '%details'.

I realise this is a very specific and hopeful request so may be 'one for the future'.;)

Thanks,
Paul

I hear what you're saying here Paul, but the problem is that the product list on invoices and despatch notes is generated automatically, and to make this editable would involve a new level of complexity. The main idea behind providing editable invoices and despatch notes was to allow for compatibility with address labels etc. which is what we've achieved so far. As you say, it's possibly one for the future.
