sitemap.xml - priorites & frequency

Been having a little read up on xml sitemaps and understand there are additional fields that can be added to sitemap.xml to assist on how search engines list results relating to your site.

However, I can not see any means of adding these fields (priority & frequency) to the sitemap.xml file that Bluepark generates.

Rich, would this be something that could be incorporated into Bluepark?. As I see it we would need to be able to set priority & frequency against static pages (index, contact etc), Categories & Sub-Categories and products.

To be honest, the anticipated benefit of adding this is probably incredibly small compared to the work involved to build it into the Admin Console (across all sections). It would also be a lot of work to maintain manually.

It's worth mentioning that the XML Sitemap cannot increase your ranking in any way, it simply tells the search engines where your pages are.
