Hi everyone!
I recently signed up with Barclays ePDQ CPI merchant service for processing payments online. After much research we decided that this was the service to suit our needs and also offers very reasonable transaction rates. Any how... just wondering if anyone else is using the service or has any comments to make on the Barclays ePDQ CPI system through experience of using the service?
Any comments or knowledge from your experience would be great.
Cheers
James

Hi James,
I was just wondering how you was finding Barclays ePDQ CPI . I currently use PayPal standard and was thinking adding Barclays would you recommend it.
Thanks
Tracey
Hi Tracey
Welcome to the forum.
James has not been around for many months on the forum.
We don't use Barclays but use protx with streamline. It works well and as members of the fsb we got excellent rates.
Hope this helps?
Hi Dave,
Thanks for that info. Sorry not sure what fsb means. Is it easy to get set up. At the moment I just use PayPal Standard but would like to offer another payment method as well.
Thanks
Tracey
Sorry Tracey the FSB is the Federation of Small Businesses. Members get many beneifts including free business banking and preferential rates with streamline.
Protx is very easy to setup with Bluepark and we are on the small business tariff which is £20 per month and includes 1000 transactions per quarter. Rates with streamline will vary depending on your average transaction value and turnover.
If you have a physical shop in addition to web (like us) and need a machine by the till for face to face transactions I have found Streamline on the FSB rates to be reliable and easy to set up - rates OK too.

I've found Barclaycard singularly unhelpful in the past when it comes to asking questions and retrieving 'correct' info. I had to speak to a tech supervisor to clarify what I'd been told and that it was in fact, incorrect!
The admin interface is awful too.
I'd advise any ecommerce business to use a seamless transaction like SagePay Direct - the other benefit with SagePay is that they are very helpful and have extended open hours.

Sage with Cardnet by Lloyds. Lloyds are very helpful, but a little expensive - so I will look elsewhere.
Will never use Barclays - They have moral of robber barons - they make their own rules - had to fight them some years back - never again. The problem is that they are too creative as their culture - and that will damage customers at one time or the other.
