Hi all
I send off my file to base every few weeks but never take much notice of it, today i had a closer look and it says all my items are missing "conditions" is this important? if so how do i fix it?
thanks in advance.

I recall that my Base upload said the same thing but it actually refers to optional pieces of information. I'd check but I'm pretty sure the upload will be fine as it is.

Base just seem to have started looking for more "attributes" with their new tab of "data quality". I have defined a BP attribute as "condition", then on each product I assign it the appropriate value.
Stripey have you got a link to your site to advise further?
Thanks Robin
yes its www.bestbritishsweets.co.uk (http://www.bestbritishsweets.co.uk)
I don't think it is always true but if you can be in the top 3 shopping results these are sometimes returned in the organic results. Your feed is on base and your store is listed (look under stores/more).
In my tests I found that once I had over a certain number of items I got listed in the stores. Its not always alphabetical either! 1066 Pools is not always at the top or always at the bottom!
In your case I would cetainly feed the attribute condition (new) and the weight which you have probably got in BP already.
The attributes never seem to show in shopping results but Google keep saying they matter so as its easy to include them from BP I would go for it and see if you move up the listings.
Thanks again
So does this mean i have to add it [ new ] to each item one at a time, also each time i upload the file will i have to do it all over again? is this just happening to me or will it be everyone on Bluepark? sorry im a bit confused.
The way I did it was this.
In attributes manager I made an attribute called "condition".
In each product I then assign this attribute and give it the value "new".
In the Export Manager I then made a feed called Google Base or whatever you want to call it. I can't remember if there is one already there from initial set up, if so copy it, give it another name and then edit it.
In export manager you will see there are some fields called Attribute 1: 2: 3:
In the box next to attribute 1 choose the next available column and in the right hand box type condition. Save the new export specification and then run it.
Save the resulting file as a text file on your PC then open it with spreadsheet program. There should be a colum headed "condition" with all your values under it.
To update all the products I guess the fasted way would be to export the product list, manipulate in spreadsheet and then re-load but I have never done that bit!
Sounds loads of work but it only needs doing once.
Today if you search "eurospa" on google.co.uk you may see my shopping results.
