Hi everyone,

Can I pick your brains please?

We've been running stock control manually but are getting to a stage where we need to look at other options. We don't use Quickbooks anymore, instead we use VT for accounting and that does not have any stock control. So we need a stand alone solution that would be a simple system allowing us to set barcodes for each item and scan them in on arrival and scan them out on dispatch plus set a reorder level and be able to call off some simple reports to analyse best sellers etc.

Any advice or real life experiences of the options would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Gill,

Sorry nobody has replied to your thread but maybe like me there is little or no knowledge on the forum with regards to stock control systems.

I did a quick search and these guys seem to be popular

I assume you will still have to maintain your stock levels manually on Bluepark unless the the stock system allows you to export to an excel spreadsheet for updating.

Sorry I can't be of any further help

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your reply. Sometimes my posts seem to be slow in getting running....

Funnily enough I found wasp yesterday and am having a look at them. Thanks again

Hi Gill

For a long time we used Sage to run both our accounts and our stock this allows you to set stock levels and reorder when getting low.

We now use a bespoke system to run our company which we have just got an addon writen to import Bluepark orders but you are looking at a second mortgage to buy it.

I would recommend Sage as there are many developers out there that are writing addons for it and it is very popular but I recommend taking a course to learn to set up the accounts.
