View Full Version : eDirectory
Hi,
I've been approached by someone from eDirectory, apparently now called myfaveshop.com and I wondered if anyone has experience of them and if it is worth considering.
Thanks
Gill

A company I used to work for used them, and it basically means double the work as you have to add products to their site as well as your own. - Very expensive when you think of time & money in my opinion.

When I was running findmeagift.com we signed up with eDirectory...I recall we had a handful of sales over a year, so in my opinion really not worth bothering with.
Another complete waste of time are these Education/Nursing/Whatever intranets that often crop up. "Access to half a billion people" etc etc except absolutely nobody every uses them!

Gill, I have had these people calling me but it is like Dave said. You have to upload all of your items and also all of your pictures to them. Then, say you have 5 in stock on your website, the e-directory and your website do not run hand in hand so you have to split the stock levels. Way too much hassle for me.
They said it was going to be £800 a year for up to 100 products or £1500 a year for up to 300 products. They have not called for a few weeks - looks like they have fund you instead (wonder if it was via here after googling me. Interesting). Then you have to pay commission on each sale that you make via them.
