Hi,

Can anyone with 2 blue park sites tell me the following..

I wish to open another site with blue park

I would need the following

1 x blue park site
1 x Thawte
1 x protx

but can anyone tell me if i can use the same merchant account on 2 sites.

Hi Neil,

You will need to pay for another Bluesite site and a Thawte SSL Certificate as this is registered to a specific domain name.

There is nothing to stop you putting two websites through one protx and merchant account. It will work fine without any problems. BUT streamline for example insist we have a separate merchant account per domain name. The only reason for this is because the domain name is shown on your customers statements and therefore could cause confusion.

My advice is to check with streamline of whoever you use.

It depends on your bank / merchant account provider. If the bank allows it, then it is fine with Protx.

The other thing you need to think about for your case, if you can have the 1 Protx account, is how will it affect re the name / logo when customers pay.

i.e. when customers from your new site 'xyz' come to your Protx payment page and see the name and logo of your original site 'abc' - will this be a problem? Depends on your name and how you do it.

On my extra sites, during checkout just before going to Protx to make payment, I have addded extra custom text advising that they are being sent to the company Protx page (and that this website is part of that company) and what logo they should correctly see.
