View Full Version : Are sales up or down?
As you will find out in due course i'm a real stat junkie!
I monitor everything! So know if sales are up day on day, week on week etc.
It would be good to know how others are doing - i.e. was easter busy?
I realise this is a confidential matter, so suggest if a few of us want to share email addresses, or something and just come up with a key - so average sales - better than average, worse than average - or even just been to sunseeker.com (like i did over easter!)
Mon and Tues used to be the bussiest days, but it's seems to have shifted recently...
let me know what ur thoughts are?

Business has been DIRE. But, I sell items that ladies tend to buy for themselves and during the holidays the family comes first. I've had just 2 orders since last Thursday - but I had 3 orders in the last houe, not huge but it is something and it is better than nothing.
I did not get a sinlge order from a bloke over Xmas or Valentines either. That was strange. Then I get a few orders afterwards when the women are either told to get something for themselves or are annoyed they did not get anything as a gift.
I always wonder why people tend to end up buying all at the same time. I went out for 2 hours once, came home and there was 7 orders. I thought it was the start of having been discovered for my bargains. But it wasn't to be and it was just that everyone chose to buy at the same time.
Bizarre!!

To paint a different picture, we had the best Easter Weekend ever - BUT in our Garden Centre NOT on-line!
Most of our on-line orders come in during the evening and early morning (and mostly over the weekend) with trickles during the week/day. However, when the sun's out everyone appears to be outside rather than online - a bit obvious when you think about it!

It was certainly busy at Hayes Garden World in Ambleside over the weekend. Looking at how Garden Centres have expanded in recent years that's where all the money is. Maybe Jonathan went to sunseekers with AndyUK ;)
Perhaps a change in career is on the card's me thinks!

Mikey, you bought AFTER valentines day though...... or was that a late valentines pressie and that was the dangerous situation.... LOL! You know what I mean. SOME men are buying but not at the 'key' times they should be.
So guys, do you buy your lades undies or do you leave that to your lady to do?
I had a big stock of bras and pants in red and did not sell a single thing. :D

We went to a local garden centre to look at some fish recently and it as heaving - not a single space in the car park or the overflow. Went back the weekend after to get the fish and it was empty.
There is something very strange going on at the moment.
