I am sure I am just doing something wrong, can someone explain.... I am uploading in the same way i have always done but I've been on holiday and doing stock take so have missed a few weeks of listing on Google as i had to make some adjustments to qty's and item descriptions.

I have uploaded my information to Google but it says the listings are all invalid as there are no shipping amounts on the products. I went and added the basic shipping costs to my settings but that has not kicked in either as it is still saying 'no shipping specified' so it has disallowed all of my listings.

What is more, I have the stock qty in with the variants and in the 'values' page of the product I have the stock set at Zero so Google is picking these up as out of stock. The majority of my sellers have variants with quantities available and I got told to put the stock level on the values page as zero and the qty on the variants page.

So why have Google got them down as being out of stock?? And why is it showing as no shipping. What have happened and what am I doing wrong??

Thanks.

They then email me to say they would like to change it to 3 pink and 5 green. Is there anyway I can amend the invoice? I enclose a copy of the invoice with all orders and so it would be nice if I could send a correct printed one rather than amending it by hand.

You know the next/previous product link in our shops.... well I was thinking it would be really handy to also have that function when in the BP admin panel.

Quite often when I am making changes to products I have to make them to a whole category of products. I have to go into a product, make the changes, save, go back to the list of products, scroll down my list again, find where I was, open the next product, make those changes, and so on.

It would be so handy if I could make the changes, save and move on to the next product without having to go back and forth.

Good idea or just me?
I would like to do have a promotion, where existing customers who have created an account can refer a friend, and if they create an account, both parties would receive bonus loyalty points.

Either a page with some kind of form on it, or an extra box during account creation to refer a friend.
thank you

Hi Everyone,

My first post and I'm afraid it's to ask for a little advice please! I've been busy putting my website together ready to transfer over from EKM to BP and I think I now have everything (or at least everything major) in place ready to complete the transfer. I know I need to now transfer my domain name over to another company and have looked at 123 reg and clicked on the transfer domain bit for them. Now, before I go any further, I know that I'm going to have to call EKM up and get them to do something their end but I'm not sure exactly what I'm asking for?

Also when I put this in action - what is the next step to take? Will the transfer to 123 reg be quick? And how soon can I then change the settings to point to my BP site? Is there anything obvious I'm missing at all?

I've been learning about all the ins and outs of website building and ecommerce as I go along but I know very little about this side of things.

Many Thanks in advance!

Hi All,

Hi All,

I am a new online retailer and wanted to make use of pay per click advertising whilst I spend months working on my organic search engine results.

So far it has been a bit of a disaster.

I have tried Adwords and had the following results.
- Broad high hitting keywords to advertise that I sell PC Components has cost me a small fortune for a lot of traffic which gained me 1 customer and 1 sale so has been paused and knocked on the head.

- Very selective keywords advertising specific product groups and landing on the product group page i.e. Hard drives/Internal which has a block for the top sellers so contains products before drilling deeper. Gets so few impressions I get no clicks and eventually google drops my ads.

- I even had a campaign where I managed to get 4 keywords with a 10/10 relevance showing ads and they still proved non effective.

Could anyone advise me what the quickest most cost effective way is to start building my customer base?
Is it just adwords is too much of a monster? Or I am setting it up very badly?
Should I be using msn adcentre or another service or should I be staying clear of PPC's?
Am I just doing something totally wrong or not being patient enough to get accurate results.
I have a very tight budget and so far PPC advertising seems to be a money milking tool returning me nothing but non committing traffic.

Oh and final thought is it something to do with my website putting people off. I have seen a few abandoned baskets whilst being sad and shop peeping from the backroom.

Any help would be received with immense gratitude.

Many Thanks
Normally when somebody completes checkout the referring domain changes to Paypal. I have two customers who have started checkout, and the referring domain has changed to PayPal - but the order hasn't been completed and no funds arrive. Have they clicked back, or has something gone wrong?
Seems strange two in two days and none before? Have had other orders ok!

Hi guys, my site is a work in progress. I have a header in place and have tweaked the template a little. I'd like to customise it further but I'm struggling for inspiration.

The site is at http://bp137.betapark.co.uk The header and background are black, but I feel that I need to do something with the main body of the site which is currently white. If I leave it white is there a way of making the corners curved rather than right-angled?

Any comments or suggestions on any aspect of the site would be greatly appreciated.
