Sorry, not sure what you have done. You should have one product and in that product two variants.

You need to start by making an option and once you have set what option you want e.g. size you will see a new 'variants' tab appear for the details...

You could set up one product and have two variants, one for per roll and one for per meter.

In Catalogue > Addition Manager make a new addition with 'field type' as 'file upload'. Then in Product Editor > Additions tab you can assign that...
