    Default Affliliates (again) TRACKING CODE

I have had a good search on the forums and I can't seem to find the answer.

Just set up my other site as an affiliate, generated the code from the bp and clicked through plus made a purchase.

There is nothing showing in the affiliate's account for either the clicks or the sale.

    Is this because

    A) I have got the code wrong.
    B) I am too impatient and I haven't left it long enough for the clicks/sales to be credited to the affiliate account? The sale is showing and has been processed via the backend.
    C) I didn't add any extra paramaters in the conversion code - eg order number etc.

    The code is http://www.naturalnursery.co.uk/inde...turally.co.uk/

I did see on the forum that some people took the "/" off to make it work - if I do that, the whole link stops working.

    Any help gratefully received.

    Thanks

    Arabella

    Hi Arabella,

When did you place the order - that stats are only updated every 24 hours

Thank you - that could be why then.

    I am too hasty!

There's nothing wrong with your link. You can't be tagged as an affiliate customer because the site knows you've visited before. The link will only tag the customer as coming from the affiliate if they are connecting to your site for the first time (otherwise your existing customers could be assigned to the affiliate after clicking the link).

I always recommend testing this using a browser that hasn't been used to visit the site before, or via another PC.

Thanks Rich - that explains it - clicks from another source are showing today so it is obviously working.
