Image size for slide show blocks

Can anyone tell me what image size in pixels we should use for slide show blocks.

It's a bit trial and error depending on the dimensions of your site.

I presume you are going to place it in the middle of your page?

From the template manager, determine the overall page size for your site. Then subtract the width of your left and right hand columns where appropriate. This will give you an approximate dimension for the middle part of your site. Subtract approximately 50 pixels to allow for padding across the whole width of the site and use the result to determine the width of your image for teh slide show. Try it with one image first to see how it looks. If it is too wide it will push out the rest of the page.

e.g.

Webpage width (1000 px) - LH column (200 px) - RH colum (200 px) - 50 px = 550 pixels width

The height you can decide yourself.

I am using one of the standard templates and my middle space measures 620 pixels, if that helps
