Social Share / Google Update / Pintrest Button

Google is currently rolling out it's latest alograthms and more than ever social share is now massively important. Please Rich I know I've been banging on about this for over a year now but please I think more than ever the social share discount is a really essential update.

Whilst I'm at it, please can we have a Pintrest add button as again this is building in relevance and is all about social share (which is what the new alograthms are based on). If it can be added next to the +1, FB and Twitter buttons that would be better still - http://pinterest.com/about/goodies/

I was just going to ask about Pinterest. I've been pinning like mad all week! It's still very American but is catching on fast over here.

I am sorry though, I can't seem to get mine to work. No image is shown... just a yellow box. And the pin doesn't work... nothing in Pinterest after I have done my pin. I was able to create a new pinboard though, using it... but the pin wasn't there. Have tried twice.

I have tried and can't get it to work either, had just come on to post the same - I can post using the pin from the bookmark bar but not from the site. I've asked others to try and nobody else has been able to either.

That's strange, it's the standard button HTML - there is no variant of it, to my knowledge.

The link takes you to the pintrest page, however, it doesn't seem to pull the URL and IMG info although the URL is shown in the URL address bar.

Rich can I ask you something please. I am looking at the Pinterest 'Pin It Button for Web Sites' page http://pinterest.com/about/goodies/ and it says to put a button on a page you enter the url, image and description. What a faff. I was hoping to add a generic button to all pages, not a button made especially for a specific page... or I will be here all day. Did you leave those 3 fields blank and just use the basic button code?
