    Default Uploading a Flip Book

Hey guys and gals, thought I'd ask here as it's a plethora of knowledge and you usually help me out brilliantly. I'd return the favour but I'm flipping useless.

Right, I've got a flip book i need upload, it's exported via a flip book program and can be exported as a *.HTML, *.Zip or *.app
How the heavens to do I get this on our website - I've tried making pages, tried copying source code, and i'm at a total loss. I want people to view the flip book (but not download it, because I want their info first, unless there's a way to do that?) mind you i have had a few people want to download it for their kindle, which would mean it needs to be in PDF form (which is 150,000k) big, so that's pretty much out of the question...

    Any ideas, folks?
    Many thanks,
    Charmaine

Use ftp to get it onto your webspace then point customers at the index file.

We always get it to open into a new window so the website stays open. Mine have a pdf download anyway as part of it.

    many thanks -

Without being able to see your directory structure I can't help but the 404 error means that you don't have a file called view.html in your catalogue folder.

In any case, you can't have a structure called www.yoursite/catalogue it has to be www.yoursite/user/catalogue as we acn't access the "root" (top) directory unless Bluepark does that for you. Saying that, the file doesn't exist there either. In fact www.yoursite/catalogue doesn't exist.

Perhaps it would be quicker for you to contact Richard or Cate at Bluepark and they'll be able to help you as they can see your files and directories.

Hi there, ok i've got the page 'view.html' on the site now, and i've also uploaded view.html and other files into the root directory. I've spoken to Rich and he told me to create a new template for the flip book (which i've done) but i do need a javascript editor to input the flip book really. now that's where I come unstuck - so if anyone's any good with javascript and is willing to help me out for a reasonable fee, i will gladly strike a deal. coz i appear to be on a very smelly river, without a propulsive device. Very many thanks!!

I'm using a program to produce it, it's too big to be done in InDesign or Photoshop.
