Default Custom 404 error page not showing

Hi - would appreciate some help as it's probably something really easy... Have created brief customised error page (called error.html). Ticked it so has green flag. Put error.html into the section under site /configuration etc. But it's still not showing - it's still the Bluepark 404 error page. Any ideas - have read all the posts on here but not sure what I'm missing....

    Hi Joanne
I think you have to name it 404.html?

    It is working, for example:

    http://www.hirstandhirst.co.uk/testing.html

This works, because this link obeys Bluepark's link structure.

    This doesn't:

    http://www.hirstandhirst.co.uk/testing

Because this could never be a Bluepark URL.

Sorry I don't understand this Richard - I've named it error.html and the 404 page is still the original one? I have called it .html with every name I've called it!

    This page does not exist:

    http://www.hirstandhirst.co.uk/testing.html

This is the same content as your custom 404 page:

    http://www.hirstandhirst.co.uk/error.html

Sorry again but I'm still not sure what this means. I've put the error.html in the site configuration box. I've ticked the page so that it is active. What do I need to do differently to make the customised error page appear?

Hi, your custom error page works I've just checked it. Say for instance I type http://www.hirstandhirst.co.uk/adrian.html this works and shows me your custom error page "Hi - sorry this link hasn't worked..." as you don't have a page called adrian.html. However, what Rich is trying to say to you if you enter a url without an html extension (.html) then this isn't trapped and you get the standard Bluepark one. I hope helps you a bit.
