    Default Scheduled Google Product Feed

I didn't realise Google dropped you from the shopping feed every 30 days unless you schedule and upload until I checked last night. And there I was, gone!

Now uploaded again but I want to schedule a product feed to upload ever 30 days automatically only it's asking for a feed URL and I have no idea where to get one of those! I usually save as a .txt file and upload that but this needs a URL.

    Can anyone help?

    Much appreciated.
    thanks

Make sure the file is in your user directory (site-->file manager) and then give google the path to the file ie www.myitchydog.co.uk/user/feedname.txt

    Thank you

I've uploaded my current feed and the link looks like this, is that right?

    http://www.myitchydog.co.uk/user/pro...1341391960.txt

If it is, this may be a stupid question but how does it update products? Or do I do it manually each month?

That URL looks fine. You will have to still remember to generate the feed manually each month if your database changes which I know sort of defeats what you are trying to achieve. HOWEVER, if you are Business Park or Enterprise Park you can use Data Scheduling (Under Catalogue) to automatically run jobs including your google products export.

Only Enterprise Park has scheduled import/export Dave, I don't know if this is a change or has always been like it.

If you do it this way and you have a weekly schedule in Googlebase, your feed will never expire. You only need to re-generate the contents when you add or change your products or prices.

I only knew because I upgraded to Business Park to get the Scheduled order export on a new site and then found it was only for Enterprise! the site doesn't justify E P price so will have to export manually to LW. Am also coming to the conclusion that PP doesn't justify the expense of E P when Amazxxx website with Amazxxx payments built in is so cheap!!
Bp would be far better off integrating Amazon payments than some of the useless frills it is getting.

    Thanks both.

    That's really helpful.

I'm hanging out for BP blog sub folder integration.
