Manage the Look and Feel of Your Site
Templates essentially determine the overall design of your site. The Template Editor provides a comprehensive yet intuitive interface to manipulate fonts, colours and images used on every page.
The site is generated using CSS. Style sheets offer a way of styling HTML globally without having to specify fonts and colours every time they should be used. Templates, based on your specifications, generate CSS automatically.
The Default Template can be set from within the Template Manager. Although multiple Templates may be specified for various areas of the site, the Default Template is used when no alternative has been selected. Stock Templates, preinstalled with the Bluepark CMS, may be copied and then customised. They may not be modified directly or deleted.
Sections of the Page
Header: At the top of the page, the Header usually includes the site logo and may include some Navigation links. The Account, Navigation and Search bars may be displayed within the Header enabling access to the user's account details and various other areas of the site.
Footer: At the bottom of the page, the Footer usually includes further links or generic site information.
Columns: Between the Header and the Footer lies the site content, organised by up to 3 Columns. Traditional site design places the vertical menu system in the left Column, the main content in the centre Column and further information in the optional right Column. It may be that you decide to use different Column configurations on different pages, made possible by using the Layout Manager.
Blocks: Within each Column, site content is organised into Blocks. These Blocks can be activated, deactivated and reordered from within the Layout Manager.
