22:01 Sunday night, hardly peak time - pop server just timed out on 2 of my sites, also taking ages to do stuff in admin. Just tried to open the orders screen from the menu and it just sat there...
Chrome. 11:42 today; from the product page, clicking the "View on site" button. Took 20 seconds to display the page, then the next 3 were fairly instant, then the next one took 8 seconds...
Chrome....
yeah, our admin pages are still slow, but I guess it's not affecting the website as today's our busiest day ever!
Maybe black friday is having an impact on the servers? although it' still not...
It doesn't seem to be the website though, it's the admin screens. Is the admin side of things on the same server? Would bot activity slow the admin side down but not the website? ANd it was for...
Presumably in the checkout. If they only have one field to fill in on the product page you'd think they'd notice if autofill entered the wrong text - especially if the page bangs on about how it is...
So the suggestion would be, "why can't you make this field read-only during the checkout so that rogue autofill apps don't change it?"
What page to the customers initially enter the personalised message on?
Then perhaps try a different approach. Give them a specific solution and say "why can't you do this?"
Yes, it's an autofill issue, and not BP. But that doesn't mean BP can't do anything about it.
I've listed a bunch of things (field validation checks) further up that they can do to mitigate the...

Hmmm... yes, that is a bit more important. Not sure how the personalisation feature works - can it be moved to a different page, or can you change the nearby text/formatting to really highlight it...
Generally, this is just a bit of a faff to correct it - but it can be more of a problem when their email address is their first name and you can't figure out what the first name is from the email -...
ok, but there's still things that could be done on the page during the field validation (or post submit) to reduce this.
For example, if any of these are found highlight the field with an "are you...
General > Settings > Products > Action when no stock
I set this from "Display product" to "Display product but refuse orders" about a week ago, and I quickly checked it on an out of stock...
Well if we're all seeing fast and slow periods at the same time, it's pointing less to our individual setups and more to BP as the common factor.
boom, it's superfast at the moment...
Changes to google shopping in the US...

I've not noticed it, but then I don't really look at orders as they're coming in and compare them to the website.
That's what mine does... (in chrome)
