Default Link from header logo to home page.

    Hi,

I am trying to link from the header (my logo) to my home page, I have used this code which I found on the forum and have replaced the "my site" description and pointed the src to the file I used for my logo. The trouble is this code replicates the logo image that I already have in my Header- background image and distorts the layout.

Does anyone know the code to use the existing background image as the link?

    <a href="/index.html"><img alt="my site - ass kicking prices and service" src="/user/templates/yourtemplatename/yourlogofilename.gif" /></a>

Sorry, I don't know the code, but we actually have our header without a logo on it so that the code you have used above puts the logo in place for us and also makes it clickable.

Best solution would be to remove the logo from your background image, that way it won't get duplicated! That's what I did. You can position the image as you like using a div or old fashioned (like me) in a table as a container. Hope this helps you.

Thank you both, I will give that a go, if anybody has any hints about the code for positioning it then I would be extremely greateful, my code isn't up to much.

    thanks

    <a href="/index.html"><img style="position: absolute; top: 20px; left: 320px;" src="/user/your-image.png" alt="" width="327" height="106" /></a>

Here is our code. I don't know html very well at all, but the src= bit is the path to the image you want to use as the clickable logo, the position bit at the front is where the image should appear on the header. I think that's right, I'm sure someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
