    Default Warehouse location

Thanks for the recent update Rich.

Having said that, can anyone explain warehouse location please? It is entered on the 'Values' tab at product level is it? I don't get it, lol.

Its the location in the warehouse where the product is physically located. So it could be an aisle number, shelf number, bin location number etc etc

This location is printed on the picking list (and now despatch note) to help the pickers locate the product.

Is it possible to add this to the invoice?

Weights and warehouse locations are despatch note only. The invoice is intended for the customer.

We add our warehouse location onto SKU or product code.

    Hi,

Is it possible to add warehouse location at a variant level? We have some products where variants are stocked in different locations to the main product due to size restrictions.

Or equally are there any work arounds without using the Part Number field?

We just use the SKU. At the end of each product SKU we have a hyphen and then location code. This means each variant can be stored in any location.
So when processing orders we just need to print the invoice in order to pick, pack & ship.

Thanks Zen, unfortunately we can't use the SKU or P/N fields we will be using the SKU to order items in, so it needs to match the supplier's number.
