Lightbulb Product Ratings in Google Shopping

It is possible to have your site review stars show under your product listing in Google shopping. A really neat way of standing out from the crowd and increasing ctr. You need to have approval from Google but that is just a form to complete. Unfortunately, I discovered after approval that Google require the data in the form of an XML feed supplied to the Merchant Centre like the product feed.

    There is no suitable feed.

So I would like this to be added to the BP to do list please pretty please and preferably quite soon before our competition wake up to the possibility and everyone has stars!

If you feel the same as me please join in to let BP know.

    +1 from me.

Basically this could be considered good marketing, anything that makes your ad stand out gets you a better click thru rate and a lower CPC.

I have previously asked Rich about this and he said it would be considered in the future. Maybe if there are enough of us we can nudge it up a bit? Someone will need to raise a ticket though and link to this forum thread.

I am bumping this because I think it might have been missed in the storm of feature requests that has been happening. I am guessing that this is a relatively simple task that would get any of us using Google Shopping extra attention and hopefully higher click through rates (so lower bid cost) and more business. Or perhaps not many BP'ers are on Google Shopping!????

I am bumping again! I really can't believe that everyone is totally happy with their Google Shopping ROI and that they don't want a way to improve it. Silence will prove me wrong and I will shut up.

I would really like it Gill and anything that helps to set us apart from the competition is always a good thing.

Although we don't use product reviews I can see how this would be very useful so it gets the thumbs up from me !

Thanks everyone.... I fully understand if people don't use Google Shopping then it is no use to them, but with Google pushing organic listings almost out of view in favour of presenting their own offerings, whether it be shopping, text ads, Images or Youtube I am surprised that anyone is ignoring a Google Shopping now. But that is of course another argument. Please anyone who does advertise through Google Shopping add your views so that BP can assess the true level of interest in this feature.

We use google shopping, and it is really expensive so anything that can save money or create sales is a winner.

A big yes please from me as well, these are just the sort of helpful updates we could really do with now, anything to give us that bit more of a competitive edge!

We don't use reviews but certainly do use Google Shopping, anything to boost this would be good.

We all know that BP are v busy on big projects that take a long time to complete but if this kind of thing can be done quickly almost as a break from the main project it would be great and give us an edge on competition. Does anyone have any insight into how difficult it would be to create a reviews feed?
