Request for feed back email

Hi, I would like to add the details of a customers total loyalty points to the email requesting feedback. Can you identify where to look for the variable to include.

Hi Pat..taken these variables from the email manager....

%full:	FirstName LastName (e.g. John Smith)
%informal:	FirstName (e.g. John)
%formal:	Title LastName (e.g. Mr Smith)
%email:	E-Mail Address
%pointstotal:	Loyalty points total
%pointsvalue:	Loyalty points value
%unsubscribe:	/account/action/unsubscribe-#/
%year:	Current year

Hi, I have tried to use the variables as above in the email following a completed order but it does not show the points just the variable name. I must be adding it incorrectly. Is there a particular way to do this. I have just typed - exactly as this %pointstotal do I need to add the colon to the end. Thanks for any answers. Pat

Hi Gerard, Thanks for help unfortunately this doesn't work either. Can anyone show the exact method of inserting variables into emails. As previously stated I want to add the points earned on the order for which feedback is being requested plus the total points that the particular user has accrued. Firstly is this possible and Secondly how do I do It. Thanks for any further help. Pat - just to add I am attempting to edit the request for feedback email in the language manager.
